Evan Williams has posted Ten Rules for Web Startups. I would extend the points to most computer technology companies. Many of the items such as "Be Different" or "Be User-Centric" sound like common sense, but are often lost in the chaos found in startups. At the minimum, the list can be used as a fundementals checklist (one of many) for those currently in startup mode.
