Top 10 custom Javascript functions of all time
- A pretty good list of essential DOM related javascript functions. Please note the functions are mostly DOM related.
Speaking of Javascript - (AJAX) XmlHttpRequest Insanity Solution
- Cross-domain requests are not possible with XmlHttpRequest. While this is somewhat understandable (a solution is needed), sub-domain access is also not possible! For example, your page www.somedomainofyourse.com cannot make a request to data.somedomainofyours.com. A solution is provided, albeit a little jumping through hoop action is required.
Tooltip.js
- A nice tooltip functionality for web apps, including a good Netflix facsimile. The drop shadow is also nice to see.
Speaking of shadows: How to Implement Box Shadows
- When will CSS3 solve this problem? Not until IE 7 is out at the minimum sadly, but something can still be done about it in the meantime.
1080i vs. 1080p HDTV: should you care?
- No clue about what that means? If you are interested in HDTV, this is not a bad primer on the technology and what it means (at least for the latest).
Hotmail / Windows Live Mail Update
- A nice update about new features about the forthcoming Windows Live Mail. As a tester, I am very happy to see some of these features. Specifically, the spell checking (and it sounds techie cool too!). I know I have requests for several of these.
Masters of their Domain
- Sent to me by a colleague, I had not thought about seemingly useless domains actually making money for the common person. Taking a look around, there are some decent outfits providing this service.
You call those monitors? Check this out!
- Again from a colleague. Taking a look at sites like SlickDeals.net, discussing gifts and technology, the subject of plasma, HDTVs and LCD monitors came up. I currently have the dual monitor solution and will never be able to happily return to anything less. That said, he showed me the site above... All I can say is wow! Can you imagine working with some of those? That is not to mention watching TV, gaming or anything else.
SlickDeals and TechBargains Abound
- I mentioned it above, but somewhere along the line I found SlickDeals. If you are interested in deals for pretty much anything; SlickDeals is the site to visit. The variety and things people post can be amazing. Just the other day a $579 LCD was knocked down to $334 after various coupon codes.
The TechBargains site is rather new to me, but it also seems to be promising. A lot of the things tech related you see on SlickDeals seem to show up there. That is a good sign.
Is your brain fragmented?
- Some days it may feel like it and there may be something to that.

Lowest Price! ViewSonic Q9B - 19" LCD Display $199.99 at www.dealunion.com. Is it hot?
dealunion.com is a good website I found recently, on which tons of hot deals ,nice coupons , free stuff are available in plenty. I had got my free Mothers' day free gift from it! CHEERS!
